My husband and I were married on a spring morning. I concocted this iced tea recipe to serve with brunch afterwards. It was just as popular as the mimosa bar!
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1/3 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 2 sprigs mint (or more to taste)
- 1 sprig lemon balm
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 black tea bags
- 4 orange zinger tea bags
- 6 cups water
Steps
1
Bring water to a boil. Steep mint, lemon balm, and tea bags for 10-20 minutes.
2
Remove mint, lemon balm, and tea bags. Stir in sugar and honey until dissolved.
3
Pour orange juice, lemon juice, and tea mixture into serving pitcher.
4
Cool in refrigerator.
5
Serve over ice. Garnish with more mint and an orange slice.
Notes
- All aspects of this tea can be adjusted to your liking – more sugar, less mint, more orange juice, etc. Have fun with it!
- Omit the lemon balm if it is not easily available.
- You can make this a delightful cocktail by adding white rum and club soda.
